Sunday Notes for Women Who Aren't Done Yet

SUNDAY NOTES FOR WOMEN WHO AREN'T DONE YET

October: The Awakening

You are not here to spend the second half of your life haunting the first.

Read that again.

Because somewhere along the way, so many of us started living as though our best chapters had already been written. As though our choices, mistakes, obligations, and old identities had permanently decided who we were allowed to become.

But what if they haven't?

What if this season of your life isn't about winding down, settling in, or learning to live with less?

What if it's about waking up?

This week's words come from activist Angela Davis:

"I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept."

There's something wonderfully rebellious about that shift, isn't there?

For years, many of us were taught to be adaptable. Accommodating. Grateful. To make the best of things, keep the peace, and accept what life handed us.

And sometimes acceptance really is wisdom.

But sometimes what we've been calling acceptance is simply the habit of making ourselves smaller.

Here's your invitation for the week ahead:

Find one thing in your life you've been tolerating simply because you've tolerated it for so long.

Maybe it's an obligation you've outgrown. A dream you've repeatedly postponed. A boundary you've been afraid to establish. Or an old story about yourself that stopped being true years ago.

Ask yourself:

If I were meeting this situation for the very first time today, knowing everything I know now, would I still choose it?

You don't have to overturn your entire life by Friday.

Just notice your answer.

Then take one small action that honors it.

Because awakening doesn't always arrive like lightning.

Sometimes it begins with a quiet, extraordinary realization:

I get to choose differently now.

Here's to the women who are still curious, still becoming, and absolutely nowhere near finished.

With a little magic and a lot of rebellion,

Michelle Kai ✨

You're not starting over. You're waking up to everything you still get to become.

P.S. If this week's note brought someone to mind, forward it to her. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can give another woman is permission to imagine something different.

P.S. FROM THE WOMAN IN THE BACK
You’re not lost. You’re just leaving a path that was never yours.
And if we're going to build new ones, we might as well make them interesting.
This week's reminder:
May your coffee be strong, your boundaries stronger, and your tolerance for nonsense at an all-time low.
→ Stay — Join the conversation with women who aren't done yet
See you next Sunday. We're not done yet.
